If I charge mine over night I use the USB charger.
If I need a quick charge I use the 120V Charger

is it bad to overcharge the mytouch 3g? like charging it overnight?

  10. siberslug1 sagt:

If you do it on a regularly yes, you will shorten your battery life a bit, when I do a overnight charge I use the USB connected to the computer, it takes longer to charge.

Conditioning is for older nicad and nimh batteries. The lithiums nowadays are best preserved by preventing them from dropping below 40% Letting them drop to 0% shortens their life. The only reason you think it is better is because the app that measures battery life after a certain amount of time gets used to the phone being recharged before it hits 0% So eventually your phone app thinks 40% = 0% This is why people discharge to 0% to reset the app but it is bad to do so very often.

wat if i never chargeed it wen i first got it is it posssible to still get 20 – 30 hours ? if i condition

  17. siberslug1 sagt:

@boywayve Yeah but it depends on how you use it.
If you’re a heavy user get a 2nd battery or a bigger battery, stock batteries are now on the phones site.

They say that you shouldn’t use the “email” option on your Android phone, it kills more battery. It’s less battery consuming when you use your browser. But it is a little less convienent.

When I purchased my phone, it was at the store and and they turned it on and programmed it before it was plugged in, if i turn it off once they are done then proceed to charge it until full, will it have the same effect on the battery as if it had never been turned on and charged straight from the box?

How long does is take to charge the Nexus One, 100%?

  21. albert2090 sagt:

Thank! I got only a 3 hours battery life from my nexus one :( I charge the darn thing before I sleep and when i work up, it went down to 5% battery. Now I know why, multitasking can be a pain. Thank! for the video I learn a lot.
