I dont know if it is just me but when i download the wallpapers from the website it doesnt appear on the list of background images and it doesnt even allow me to open the files and i downloaded them in .desktop mode.
Could you please help? or tell me what i did wrong? Thank you

@nicecake777 They have replaced it…..if u go into the app manager and go into a category of apps to bring up a list of them then simply type in the first letter of the name of the app, n u will see it will take u closer to it as u type in more of the apps name, works similar way to accessing your contacts in the phonebook.
@360NextLevel hey thnx for the reply but i meant that i don’t get an onscreen keyboard as u do i have to open up my slider ….have they replaced that too?
@nicecake777 you have to enable the onscreen keyboard in ur settings….to do this go to menu–>settings—>text input—-> then from there enable virtual keyboard and u can customise and enable other things there as u wish.

i love my nokia n900 this phone is one of the best phone for now i use to have the iphone 3gs and i prefer the n900 10000 trillion times lool nice custom by the way
hey bro i am finding trouble setting up the wallpapers that i downloaded…it is downloaded as .desktop on my n900 but i cant find it when i want to change my background..it dose not appear…how do u make it appear? even if i saved it in a folder i cant seem to see it.. plz help thanks
@LuvDoco make sure u have downloaded all 4 images for that wallpaper set and that all the files including the .desktop file are in the same folder……..it should be there if not then hit the browse button

nice video….i am hving a problem with apt-get clean command. after typing both of the commands, it says could not get lock bla bla (11 resource temporarily unavailable) is anyother program using it

@muaj81 first make sure you have Rootsh installed, also try rebooting the phone then try out the commands they should work.
how do u create a “more” folder!! my n900 hasnt dat folder!!
@purav03 ok this question has been asked before a few times now…….guys in the video the MORE icon is there bcoz i was using a previous firmware. The new firmware has removed it and kept it all on 1 page. I am surprised ppl are looking for this since everyone was shouting to have it all in 1 before lol

in the new firmware, you can always organize your apps shortcuts to sensible categories using 3rd party apps like catorize or canola layout… cheers to n900… i soooo love this phone… gives me “The FREEDOM”…
@moodygaucho you can create as many apps icons as you want…you can always use catorise or canola layout to organize them to avoid having a messy long list of icons…

@MrJatt916 sounds like u dont have all the repositories set up that is why u prob dont see it or you are either looking for it in wrong category, i recommend using Show ALL to find apps
